The other truth is my 8th graders read. They read a lot and they read regularly. Some of them blog, most of them bring books to my class every day, a handful of them share books they've discovered and look out for fellow readers in many other ways too...the truth is they like, respect, and even get excited about reading.

my reading goal for october is to finish at least three of the clique books. i finished the second one a while ago and I am pretty far in on the third. if I continue at this goal each month, i will have finished all 8 books by december and be ready for the ninth one in february.
after i am done with this series i don't know what to read next. does anyone have any suggestions?

Hey! my reading goal is to finish a book called Rainbow Six. I am about 1/4 way through it of about 900 pages with VERY small print. I would recommend it to very strong readers. The reason for that is that the book has A LOT of swearing and that the context is had to understand.

My reading goal for October is to finish 2 books in the next 3 weeks, and to start "Twlight" (Which every one is telling me to read...).
I'm doing well on it so far. I have finished one book this month already. "Looking for Alaska", which I loved but can't really explain because it's a very different book. Wonderful writing though.
Now I'm reading "13 Little Blue Envelopes" which is very good so far! Can't wait to keep reading it!

I am not exactly sure of what my reading goal for october was. I think it was to read at least twice a week. I have definately accomplished that goal. I actually llike to read, but it's been kinda hectic lately with sports and stuff. I think after I read the clique series I'll read that one book twilight. I guess people like it. Maybe then I'll read that one series gossip girl. I don't know. Any advice?

Well as some know I am going to Texas this week. It takes 22 hours just to gat there. We are driving not flying. So my goal for this week is to finish the Harry Potter series. Right Now I am reading The Mediator. I just started it so I'm not that far. My goal...Idk to maybe read the Twilight series again. I love those books. Oh ya cough cough Edward cough is better cough cheyanne cough. :D I'm going to camp this weekend with Lizzie and some others from this class-I plan on reading on the bus and at camp.

Hey! I just got back back from camp. The people at camp were getting mad at me for reading! I am re-reading eclipse. Oh ya and Cheyanne-edward is way way way way better than Jacob. I'm at the part of eclipse when jacob forces bella to kiss him, then she breaks her hand puching him. That isn't nice-so edward is way better!~Hannah

my reading goal for the month is to finish the DaVinci Code. I'm almost halfway through the book, so I'm determined to finish it.
My goal for October is to read at least 20 minutes a day or more. So far it is going pretty good but im going to try to read continously for this month and then pick up the pace by next month. One problem is that I haven't found any good books that I like so if you have any suggestions let me know.

Right now I am reading my challenging book its called The Dashwood Sisters' Secret of Love by Rosie Rushton. It is 322 pages. So far i love it. Thanks to Lizzie for the recemendation! :)

a) My reading goal for the month of October would have to be just challenge myself a little more by reading harder books && maybe also read EVERY night for at least 20 mins. But actually i think i need more importantly harder books to read. to tell the truth i tend to read well uhh.. easy books.. haha.
b) its going good. and about the above statement.. i havent really finished a book with more than 200 pages.. is that bad ? i just have a hard time focusing when i know i have like 150 pages left to go. imma work on it. :D

I am reading a brief chapter in my impossible life. as you know i have been reading this since that last 2 times i have blogged. I am stuck. It is not because the book is bad but i just do not have anytime to read. that is probably not true but i just can't find time to read with all of the homework and friends and family stuff going on. I want to read a book a month hopefully but i am not a fast reader and i do not like reading. I would love to read a lot but i just can't find myself to fun upstairs away from everything else and plop down for a good hour. But i was really proud of myself when i went to my room and read for like half and hour. this was a big step for me. I just finished the book lovely bones, and it was excellent! I highly recomend it. I tried reading Northern lights, but I couldnt get into it. I am currently reading Copper Sun, by Sharon Drapper, and it is super good! I just started it last night and I'm already on page 88. I deffiantly recomend it to any one looking for a mature read.

Soo far, that goal...NOT SOO GOOD! i started reading a book that i thought id love, but nope....not so much. its one of those books that you dont hate but you def. DONT love. sooo im debating whether to finish it or not, b/c i hate not finishing books.
anyways the challenging book that i picked was one the i won from the bookfair && its alled "elehpant run" by roland smith. Its supposed to be about a boy from the world war 2 era who is dealing with family probems and gets separated from both his parents and then is trying to escape his guarded village with some girl he finds.

I am now also reading twilight. Hannah, sara, Riley, and everybody who sugested it to me thanks for doing that. Even though I am only on page 5 it is really good. I couldn't stop reading in chior. (Before class that is). So ms stenson my reading goal for this quarter is to read 100 minutes every week. But I don't have to read 20 minutes every day. I can read all of it in one day if I wanted to or I could read 50 minutes one day and 20 minutes the next. Kind of get it. Just to read 100 minutes every week. Ms stenson for next quarter I think I can do a changlenging goal if you think I can because I know I already am a stronger reader now.

Well hannah, jacob did give her hints that his family was a vampire. And he was nice to her the whole time unlike edward who was mean to her in the beging
well thats because Edward was attracted to her...and her blood. He didn't know her, and unlike Jacob, He wasn't considered family. Plus Edward saved bella's life multiple times. PLUS Bella LOVES Edward. Edward didn't make Bella chose like Jacob did. Also, Edward was very calm and more polite than Jacob. :) <3 Hannah

I really want to read the A-list but I haven't gotten it yet. I finished Rob&Sara.com today. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!! It is such an amazing book(Twilight it still better) but is such a great book! The authors are P.J. and Ivy Ruckman. Ms Stenson, I just started A northern light, you are so right! The book is so well written, but to me can be kind of confusing at times; I'm only on page 53 though!
