Back to School

Dear Readers,

Here's to the brand new school year! I can't wait to share my classroom with 150 new 8th graders, and I hope to hear from the ones with whom I shared Room 203 last year.

When you are not reading, writing, learning, studying, memorizing, practicing, comparing and contrasting, conjugating, creating, or anything else for school...I hope you log on.

Because whether or not you've read a good book, need a good book, or have a little something to say about a good book, we are here and we'd love to hear from you.

Have a great year, all.

Kindly,
Stenson

p.s. Not only have I heard from Beth and Abby that Eclipse is an excellent book, but I've read all about it on the Internet. Here's just one review, but if you haven't started the series, you've got three page-turners to get into. Have fun! To read about the book, click here

Hey Ms Stenson! It's Hannah C. from honors la. I just wanted to tells you some of my favorite books! One is Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowen boys, by: Kate Brian. I liked it so much I read it twice in 3 days! Also, The Sisters Grimm series, By: Micheal Buckley, is really good, there is currently 4 books but a 5th one is coming out. I am kind of out of a book right now so I was wondering if you had any good book recomendations!? Have a great weekend!

Hello all. I'm excited to see some posts; I'm excited to see familiar names!

Hi Auibrey! Hope you had a good summer with all that basketball playing! Enjoy 9th grade, find a book, and log back on!

Jimaline! How are you doing now that you are a 9th grader? I love that you are taking baby steps all the way through Eclipse. I know that feeling well--of not wanting a book to be done--but please know, there are always more good books to be found. Did you read the last Harry Potter?

Hi Hannah! The first on from the Class of 2012 to log on. I will have to check out the books you recommended. I'm not familiar with them. The Sisters Grimm? I love the title already. what are they about. Jimlaine, you might life these too.

There are many good recommendations in the previous postings. Take some time to go back through the past few months. Many bright kids have made recommendations, and of course, I've blabbed on and on about some of mine.

I would recommended the Twilight series if you haven't already read those books. Or else, have you heard the book a Brief Chapter of My Impossible Life? Like I said, look to my earlier blogs for more suggestions--and I'll be happy to help you back in school. Thanks for logging on!

Looking forward to hearing from more of you all. Hope the school year is off to a good start!

Hey Ms. Stenson its Kaitlyn from last years langue arts and primetime! If you still don't remember 1 word Texas! Haha just playing around! Hope the new years going good! You talked about Penn Lake Libary in another blog! Well today I went there and they were having a HUGE book sale! I got 15 books for abot 5 bucks! There next ones in January they haven't set a date yet but they know its gona be in janury! Anyways I've read so many books this summer I don't even know where to start! But one of my favorites is Stop Pretending! Its about a girl about 13 and her 19 year old sister had a nervous breakdown and had to be hospitalized. I believed she has manic-depressive! But its about the 13 year old girl keeping this secret from her friend and when she finaly does tell her 2 bestfriends they turn there back on her and make fun of her! She loses every friends she had! She basically had 2 start all over! I wont tell you anymore and ruin it but its awesome its a must read the author is Sonya Sone! Her sister really was hospitalized so its a true story! But whats really cool is she written other books that I've read and loved that never happen in her life but still there great!!! But I have 2 say I didn't like her last book that much, What my girlfriend doesnt know its an odd book! But still check her out at Sonyasones.com! I'll come back in a couple days when i finsh the book I'm reading now! Bye Ms.Stenson!!!

Ms Stenson,
Thanks for the recommendations! I'm going to the library with in the next few days(over due library books...opps!) I'll check out the books you said!! The Sisters Grim series is probably my favorite, It's about these two girls whose parents mysteriously disapear. They are sent out to live with their gramdma who they haven't even met. When they get there they find out they're long lost relatives to the Brothers Grim and that they are fairytale detectives!! Also that they live in a town where all these fairytales live. It's a great series, I got my brother and sister hooked!!! See you in class!!!!!!
