That's the thing I'm most excited to do this break. Turn the alarm off and get up when my eyelids pop open on their own. I'm also fired up about all the time, space, and room I'll have to read this next week-and-a-half. Oh, Winter Break, you arrived just in time...
There is the pile of books (especially Nat'l Book Award Nominee Inexcusable by Chris Lynch),
magazines (I need to find a copy of last week's New Yorker),
newspapers (it's been a month since I've sat down with the Sunday paper),
articles (I actually tore out an article from a magazine in the doctor's office that I just couldn't bear not to read),
and blogs (I've recently heard about a couple of blogs I'd like to check out) waiting patiently in my backpack and on my bedside table. I can't wait to get my hands on them,every last one of them.
Oh my little apples, I'm excited. The words! The stories! The poetry! The human experience! The knowledge! The exposure!
It's been a great year, Huskies. I'm grateful for this chance to read and share with you all. You make me even MORE excited about reading than I've ever been, and I just didn't know that was possible. But that's what you do. You are readers.
Let's blog and share and read together this winter break. I'll check in, and I'm hoping you'll do the same.

- Teaching 7th grade at OGMS was a great gig, but now I'm the Dean of Students at SAMS. Reading and books is still the best part of my job. And the kids are pretty cool too. By the way, in real life, I go by ABS Kujawski.

the 1st time i actually read 4 winter break was yesterday 4 6mins, i read a people magazine about jamie lynn spears pregent @ 16 n i also read about eve lognoria n her husband n some person's trying 2 sue them
i was really shocked about jamie lynn. i thought she was the responsible 1. i just think that 16is way 2 young 2 have a baby. i still she's ok, but think that after she has her baby that she is going to regret it, but learn 2 llive with it
i think its so wrong how celebrities use other celebrities only because of their fame. i was watching a reality show about kathy griffins a comedian n on 1 episode she went on a date with nick carter just so she could get a picture taken with him by the papparazi becauz she wanted to b an A list celebrity. i also watched vh1 n there was this show that showed celebrites that got black mailed n it showed my favorte singer in the whole world celine dion getting black mailed by a chinese woman so celine gave her 10 million dollars so the woman could stop black mailing her then like 6 months later she came back n wanated 50 million dollars n on that same show a famous celebrity guy i forgot his name but he married a woman n she sued him for abusing her, but that wasn't true but she won the case anyway n got like 7 million dollars. she didn't even like that guy she was just using him 4 his money they were only 2gether 4 3months

I read a little over break so far. A little gone with the wind and a couple a list books. I also got the book Twilight for christmas which is really exciting!!! ~Hannah

I just read "Megan Meade's Guide to McGowan Boys". I absolutly LOVED it! I bought it yesterday, took it home, read for 4 hours and finished it!
Insanely good. Really fluffy, but not so much that it makes you brain-dead. Check it out if you're looking for a cute read about a girl who goes to live with 7 boys who aren't happy about her moving in.

This break I've been reading The Book Thief. It's super good so far! I love it!
I also picked up a copy of the book Slam. I remembered Stenson's book talk about it, and I was at Target, saw it and that was that! So I'm planing on starting that after I finish The Book Thief!

i knew you'd like it lizzie!! I read it 4 times in two days. It's kinda weird but its one of those books you can read over and over again. Conor when your done with slam can I borrow it?? It sounds like an amazing book!!! So does the book theif... That one book you told me about conor...I can't remeber the name...the auther just died...there's 5 books in the series( i think) well I requested it at the libary so hopefully it will come in soon. I love the A-list novels!! they seem to go really fast when I read them, but its really fun to hear about what goes on in the life of the rich and famous. My favorite so far in the series would have to be the 1st one or the 4th one. Okay...bye...:) ~Hannah

ya sure conor! I might have to renew them soon. I was at target today and I was going to use up some money from a giftcard, but all the wrinkle in time books were gone. so i got shoes instead. haha. So I kept reading the a-list books. love em!!! happy new year!!!! ~Hannah

Okay, so now I'm reading "Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy" which is a sequel to "I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You". I read the first one over the summer, and the new one is very good so far.
I want to read "The It-Girl", Miki said it was good, and if anyone has a copy I can borrow, let me know!
